This privacy policy applies to the marketing website at stairkey.com, operated by Stairkey Software Inc. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). It does not apply to the Stairkey software application itself, which has its own terms and privacy disclosures presented at sign-up.

What we collect on this site

This marketing site runs one contact form and an “Ask Stairkey” assistant. If you submit the contact form or ask the assistant to put you in touch with our team, we receive the information you provide — typically your name, email address, and the question or context you share — by email so we can reply. The assistant otherwise answers questions about the product and does not require an account. The assistant is powered by Anthropic (Claude); the text of your questions is sent to Anthropic, which processes it in the United States solely to generate a reply and does not retain it to train AI models. We don't run payments or third-party advertising trackers on this site. You can also reach us by email at bg@stairkey.com. Clicking a “Start free” link will take you to the Stairkey application at app.stairkey.com, which has its own privacy disclosures presented at sign-up; that flow is governed by the application's privacy notice, not this one.

How we use it

We use the contents of your email solely to respond to you and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell, rent, share, or use your information for advertising. We do not add you to mailing lists without your consent.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies, which is why you don't see a cookie banner. We do measure site traffic using analytics tools (Google Analytics and PostHog) configured to run in cookieless mode: they record aggregate events such as page views and button clicks without setting cookies or building cross-site profiles, and we use that data only to understand how the site is used. Google and PostHog process this analytics data on infrastructure in the United States. Your hosting provider (Cloudflare) may also collect basic request metadata (IP address, user agent, request time) for security and abuse prevention, in line with their own privacy practices.

Retention

Inbound emails are retained for as long as needed to maintain the conversation and any business relationship that follows, and otherwise for the period required by Canadian record-keeping rules.

Your rights

If you have written to us and would like a copy of what we have on file, would like it corrected, or would like it deleted, email us at bg@stairkey.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
